MNM had the Snapshot, The Road Warriors had the Doomsday Device, The Brothers of Destruction has the Double Chokeslam, hell, even Kane & Big Show back when were tag team partners in Raw, also used the double chokeslam. And these were great tag team finishers.
But sometimes during battle royales, we see two finishers seamlessly working together so smoothly they could pass off as a tag team finisher. Remember that time when Chris Benoit locked Triple H in the Crippler Crossface while HHH is already locked in Chris Jericho’s Wall of Jericho? (Double Ouch!) Or remember that time when Ric Flair locked Shelton Benjamin in the Figure Four leg lock and being unable to moved, RVD took advantage and dropped the Frog Splash on Benjamin? (Damn!)
So this got me to thinking that two finishers put together can indeed make up good tag team finsihers. Here are some of my ideas:
1.The Unbreakable: Chris Masters locks the opponent in the Masterlock, then at the same time Great Khali locks the opponents head in his double handed Vise Grip. Now how do you escape that?! Truly “Unbreakable”.
Tag team name: Freaks of nature (or something better)
2.The Lullaby: HBK kicks opponent with the Sweet Chin Music, the opponents body hangs dangerously after the kick, but instead of letting the opponent fall flat on his back, Carlito catches the opponent with the Back Breaker. The Lullaby will surely put one to sleep.
Tag Team Name: The Untouchables
3.The “Referee’s Nightmare”: Finlay, with his shillelagh, hits the back of the opponent’s knees to bring opponent down to his knees, then Mick Foley hits the opponents back with “Barbie”, and Triple H finishes the opponent with a Sledgehammer shot to the forehead. S.h.i.t!
Stable Name: Hard knocks
4.Avalanche: Jeff Hardy, Chavo Guerro and Mr. Kennedy each go up to different top turnbuckles all at the same time with Kennedy already carrying the opponent on his shoulders for you know what. Green Bay Plunge! Then Hardy jumps, Swanton Bomb! Followed by Guerrero, Frog Splash! Followed by Kennedy, Kenton Bomb. And finished by Mark Henry, World’s Strongest Splash! That’s the Avalanche, the whole world coming down at ya!
Stable name: Silver Back and the Wind Riders
5.Rain of Spear or “X Marks the Spot: Edge is in one corner waiting impatiently for the opponent in the middle of the ring to stand up. But oh no, Bobby Lashley is also waiting in another corner, spear-ready. But holy cow, Batista is waiting on another corner, just as spear-ready as Lashley. And oh my god, Goldberg is on the last corner waiting jus as impatiently as Edge. And when the opponent finally gets on his feet. Boom! They all run and spear him! And from the top view it will look like x marks the spot. Or dead spot!
